12m Internal Weld Overlay Cladding Rig

PFP Tech have added a horizontal, twin-wire, dual-head TIG weld cladding station capable of welding 12m lengths of pipe to our range of products.
 
Our system features:
  • hydraulic wire rope tensioning,
  • a 12m twin head cladding lance,
  • rack and pinion carriage drive with extremely low backlash,
  • mounting for 4 wire spools on carriage,
  • longitudinal and rotational position indication on control monitor,
  • twin torch, twin hot wire TIG,
  • local AVC control, and
  • is capable of spiral cladding internal bores from 219mm to 610mm NB, with minimum ID 165mm.
Extended ranges can also be discussed.
 
The control system for PFP Tech's 12m internal weld overlay cladding rig is built around Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1500 PLC Processing Unit and proprietary DeviceNet machine communication protocol.
 
Parametric software and Allen-Bradley PanelView touch screen HMI (human machine interface) allows the operator full control of all welding parameters, including:
  • Welding current
  • Arc Voltage
  • Wire feed speed
  • Pipe rotation speed
  • Linear travel speed of lance
  • Linear position of lance

The torches have separate AVC control.
